Everyone of us has healing energy, we use it constantly i.e., if a child is hurt a mother will touch the place of the wound and kiss it better, with love and tenderness, giving the child comfort and reassurance. When we meet a friend, a cuddle and kind words give a wonderful feeling of loving and being loved. Many people with love, empathy, and compassion, use this healing energy to help others both mentally and physically. Combined with conventional medicine it can work well. Some of the methods I use include reflexology, hot stones, chakra balancing, and visualization. There are many more therapies, body massage, reiki, aromatherapy and head massage are some of the equally popular methods used by therapists. Depending on the person’s attitude, of faith, trust and a positive mind, while relaxing and enjoying the beautiful healing energy channelled through their system, they can create a calmness and inner peace; a special moment to enjoy. It is a wonderful gift to use – knowing how it can help people in these troubled times we are facing. These therapies are natural and rewarding.

One of the therapies I use with good results is the hot stones.
This therapy works well, because you are in direct contact with the body of the person who is receiving the healing. The stones are placed in a Bain Marie and heated to a comfortable heat for the body to lie on and vice versa. The spine is one of the most important parts to work with – it is both soothed and calmed. Placing the stones on either side of the vertebrae and under the shoulders is highly beneficial especially with calming music, lighted candles, and a relaxing visualization. This treatment lasts about forty minutes.
Combining these healing therapies can give very rewarding results. This individual attention is always a special moment. I prefer to do these therapies with love as a gift to all who need me. Below, is one of my visualizations, a simple one to use anytime you need to relax or are unable to sleep.
‘The Lake of Peace’.
Sit or lie in a comfortable position and relax; close your eyes; start to visualize the following:
Walk down a country lane, on a wonderful sunny day. Hear the birds singing in the trees making you feel calm and happy. See a gate in the hedge and walk through. The view is beautiful, with flowers of every colour with different aromas and perfumes; trees full of green leaves and birds singing on their branches, in the warm sunshine. Bend and smell the flowers – they give a gift to you with unconditional love. They are there for you to enjoy and to love. Thank them. Now move over to the large, ancient tree. Put your arms around its massive trunk. Feel the energy, and take it into every part of your body. Thank the tree and move onto the path. Walk down to the lake at the end of the path. As you approach you can see a flat-bottomed boat a few feet from the water’s edge. To get into the boat there are five stepping stones, each one a different colour: blue, green, yellow, pink, and white. Each one with a gift to offer. Stand on the first which is blue giving you the gift of inner peace. Next green, the gift of tranquillity; the yellow one is like the sun, warm and strong, giving you inner strength to hold on to first two. The fourth stone is pink representing love, the highest is unconditional love. Take this love, and absorb this wonderful gift. Last but most important is white, it is your protective aura around your whole body. Love, compassion, and empathy result in the growth of your aura which gives you ultimate protection. You will be in the right place at the right time by using these virtues. Now climb into the boat and lie on the five cushions, which are of the same colours holding your special gifts.
Ponder on their value and feel very calm and relaxed while the boat drifts slowly down the lake of peace.
